The festival was so well organised and everyone was so welcoming that I felt right at home. And both my sessions with the kids were so much fun – the kids were bright and enthusiastic and an excellent audience. I got back home wearing the hugest of grins. Working with kids and books – particularly with kids who are not otherwise exposed to books – and making them excited about the potential of stories is something that I am truly passionate about.

The wonderful Story ^express festival was an extremely enjoyable and motivating experience for our students as well as the teachers. Our students enjoyed the sessions and understood the stories taking a deep interest in the characters involved. Our observation is that the students remembered the stories well at the end of the day. The drawing of characters made it easier and interesting for everyone to remember.

Children really enjoyed the storytelling session. They liked the stories, activities and games. Children are very thankful to your team for giving them books. Children enjoyed the Museum walk too.

Although we are teachers, we really enjoyed being a student in Mrs. Pastala’s class, and it is great to have experienced that. She taught by example which we found much more valuable than words in a book. We are very grateful and will incorporate these learnings in our classes to enhance student participation and learning.

Overall the event was very well organized a lot of effort was taken by Story ^express. The process of learning through observation gave a vast knowledge of nature and creatures in the minds of children.

Our experience with the Story ^express team has been truly wonderful in all respects! All the facilitators are so genuinely passionate to inculcate the love of reading and do so in the most creative and engaging way, using a host of age appropriate tools, be it creating puppets, the writers’ workshop or using music and audio visuals to capture the attention of the children so vividly. The enthusiasm and eagerness with which they went about their workshops filled not only the students with joy but our teachers too! It was no surprise that soon after our first magical experience, we requested them to come in again and they so willingly obliged us at such short notice and did an extremely relevant session yet again! We are really grateful to this team of diverse and very genuine enthusiasts who aspire to make reading fun!

I love telling stories. It fascinates me to see my audience’s joy. Story ^express was unique in that it was for NGO kids only. I have done a sort of similar festival last June. Kudos to you & your team for putting this together.
