Our Story

Story Express takes children on an enchanting journey of stories and folktales.
A small team of book enthusiasts started Story Express because there exists a serious need to develop a deeper connect ion with children through stories.

Some keen observations that exposed the lacunae in our education system were that children in non- elite schools did not have a dedicated storytelling / reading/ library period. During such sessions, children expressed their emotions, feelings, views, logic and let their imagination soar. Seeing a story come alive, it enabled them to explore a world outside their own reality, imbibe values and skills and learn how to cope with everyday problems at school as well as home. Stories facilitate learning language, vocabulary building, academic subjects, writing, poetry, emotional expression, music, art, cultures both Indian and global. Storytelling helps teachers encourage creative children, enhance their own knowledge and skills and assist in their own personal growth

Story Express provides platforms for children to interact with storytellers and authors, so that they can listen to their stories and create their own.
This initiative also enables and empowers educators to ignite young minds through story telling skills.
