Teacher Training Program in Collaboration with Akshara Foundation

In March 2017, Story express was invited by DoorStep School to conduct a training program for its teachers on Storytelling
as a tool to enhance learning and education. 25 teachers attended a 2 hour session on the Ritual of storytelling, Elements of storytelling and its techniques.
The session was conducted by Harinder Sandhu, who has 15 years of experience of school plays and classroom theatre workshops.

Objective

Introduce the importance and need to use storytelling as a tool in education Learn the different forms and art of storytelling in everyday teaching How to use storytelling to explain and make difficult concepts in academic subjects simple and fun Innovative methods of language teaching.

Session Requirements:

Two sessions of 2 hours each One follow up session after minimum 7 days Groups of not more than 20 teachers/ parents/ adults depending on the venue Assessment of the trainees
