Akshara Children’s Library

In most cases the children were visiting a library for the first time where they were given an opportunity of selecting a book of their choice
from the vast collection available. The peaceful atmosphere enabled the children to experience the quiet pleasure of reading. Apart from books the children were exposed to puzzles
and educational games. Storytellers were specially invited to conduct sessions.

CSMVS (The Museum), Mumbai

Marina Dutta, a dedicated educator and Chairperson of programs for children, subcommittee of the Museum Society of Mumbai, came on board Storyexpress with an innovative idea of telling stories through the ‘Museum Walk’ and travelling exhibitions displayed at CSMVS, Mumbai. The intent of this novel storytelling activity is to extend and connect classroom learning to the actual experience of history, culture and the environment, both Indian and global.
This event is preceded by an orientation program conducted at the venue of the participating school by Marina Dutta and the team. This is an experiential learning program where the children are introduced to a gamut of historical, geographical, scientific and cultural aspects of the exhibitions to be visited.
